::: Homemade Hummus :::

Hummus?? What hummus..? When i taste hummus serve with falafel at one restaurant in Plymouth MN, i just love it.. When i love something what i eat, i will try to find how the recipe and taste similar like i want. So, i did google, youtube and i tell you, a lots of recipe we can try.. I just pick which is easy and simple to make it. :)

Hummus (Arabic: حُمُّص‎) is a Middle Eastern and Arabic food dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic.[1] Today, it is popular throughout the Middle East, Turkey, North Africa, Morocco, and in Middle Eastern cuisine around the globe. Ingredients:

  • 1 16 oz can of chickpeas or garbanzo beans
  • 1/4 cup liquid from can of chickpeas
  • 3-5 tablespoons lemon juice (depending on taste)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons tahini - i made my own tahini sauce from youtube :)
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed - 1 garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation:

Drain chickpeas and set aside liquid from can. Combine remaining ingredients in blender or food processor. Add 1/4 cup of liquid from chickpeas. Blend for 3-5 minutes on low until thoroughly mixed and smooth.

::: Cheese Cake :::


Baking cheese cake today request by my son. He love cheese cake. :)


i know.. Cant wait for 12 hour to eat this.. hehehe


Ingredient;

A - crust
Oreo biscuit - 2 line. Remove the filling and grind it.
Butter 1/4 cup - Melt it and pour into the biscuit.

B
Cream cheese - 1 1/2
1 Cup white chocolate - double boiling
2 tablespoon corn starch
1/2 cup sugar
2 tspn essence vanilla
1 lemon juice
4 egg





Preparation:

  1. Pre-Heat oven 375. Bake the oreo cracker for 5 minute. Let it cool.
  2. Combine cream cheese, egg, sugar, essence vanilla. Grind it until smooth.
  3. Melt white chocolate using double boil, then pour into cheese batter.
  4. Mix together corn starch into cheese batter. 
  5. Bake for 25 minute or until cook.
  6. For better result, freeze it for 12 hour before eat..

::: Coconut chutney :::

Simple and easy chutney recipe.



Ingredient;

1 cup grated coconut
1 tablespoon chana dhal
1 green chili
Salt to taste
1 tspn urad dhal
1 tspn mustard seed
Curry leave
Little bit of coriander leave 
Oil

Preparation:

  1. Coconut, Chana dhal, green chili, coriander and salt grind it with water.
  2. Heat an oil, add mustard seed.
  3. Then urad dhal. Finish it with add curry leave.
  4. Pour into the coconut batter.
  5. Serve with dosa or idli.

I  try this just now.. A cake tasted good. I have to learn more and more and more. Chocolate cake overcooked :) Nevermind, practice make perfect .. Lalalalalaallalala LOL

::: Chocoflan cake :::

Serves 10-12
Ingredients:
For the Chocolate Cake:
2 cups of All Purpose Flour
1 Tbsp of Baking Powder
1 tsp of Salt
1 cup of Sugar
½ cup of Cocoa Powder

For the wet:
1 cup of milk
2 tsp of vanilla
3 Eggs
½ cup of Vegetable oil

For the Flan:
1 14oz can of Evaporated Milk
1 14oz can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
4oz of Cream Cheese
2 Whole Eggs
2 Egg Yolks
1 Vanilla Bean, split and seeds removed

For the caramel:
1/3 cup of Caramel Sauce


Process,
1) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 12cup bundt pan really well with non stick spray and place it in a large roasting pan, set aside.

2) To make the cake batter, in a large bowl, whisk together all of your dry ingredients and set aside.

3) In a large measuring jug or just another bowl, whisk together all of your wet ingredients.

4) Pour the wet into the dry, mix to combine well using a hand held electric mixer and set aside.

5) Spoon the caramel sauce into the bottom of your greased bundt pan making sure to cover the bottom well.

6) Add the cake batter on top of the caramel, smooth the top so its nice and even.

7) In a blender, add the evaporated milk, condensed milk, cream cheese eggs, egg yolk and vanilla seeds.

8) Blend until you have a smooth mixture.

9) Pour the flan mixture over the cake batter, cover the whole thing with foil.

10) Pour some really hot water in the roasting dish, enough to come up about an inch from the bottom of the bundlt pan.

11) Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes, look to see that the top of the cake is firm.

12) Allow to cool for about an hour, invert it onto a platter and enjoy!

::: Curry Puff :::

Craving for curry puff @ karipap, so made this few days before but i am not really 'pro' on handmade pastry.. hehehe.. It's turn out good and delicious. That my appreciation for my self. :) The most important, my husband love it.. So let get cooking.

Ingredient

Pastry
400 gm all purpose flour
1/2 cup ice water
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup oil- heat

Filling
1 sweet potato - add 1 potato. Medium size.
1/2 cup ground chicken
2 tbsp dry shrimp
2 tbsp curry powder
1 tsbs chili paste
Salt
2 small onion grind with curry leave

The picture and explaination :

1. Add butter  into flour by using finger and firmly press it. Then pour the heat oil and mix it with spoon.

2. Mix salt into the ice water and add little by little into the dough.

3. When the dough done, cover with Ziploc and leave it about an hour or two.

4. Can start to cooking the filling.

5. Fry the paste (grind onion, curry leave, shrimp paste) until golden brown and add curry powder. stir well.

6. Then, add chicken. Stir well.

7. Mix the sweet potato and potato. cook well then add green bean. Leave it for awhile.

8. The filling ready. Let it cool then can start rolling the puff pastry.

9. Bring like small ball and start to roll it into round shape. Then put the filling into it. Use my finger to design the shape.

10. Slow heat, fry the Curry puff until cook.. Do not use the medium heat or high heat otherwise it will be rare inside.




 DONE.. That its. Enjoy the delicious "karipap" for your evening tea.

Ingredient

1 1/2 cup grind roasted peanut
1 tablespoon garlic paste*
2 tablespoon onion paste*
1 tablespoon ginger*
1 stick lemon grass- grind*
3 teaspoon brown sugar*
1 cube chicken flavor bouillon maggi brand*
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 tablespoon tamarind paste
Oil
Water

Preparation

1. Heat oil. add the * ingredient until golden brown.
2. Add chili and turmeric powder. Stir well.
3. Then add peanut and add salt. Add water and stir well until cook.
4. Serve with with rice, cucumber or chicken satay.
